Zoo Day with Sammy

On St. Patrick’s Day the girls and I met one of my lifelong BESTEST friends in the world at the zoo.  We met Samantha and her maniacs, her wonderful sister, Amanda, and her punkin’ little baby, and their sweet mother on a beautiful day at a very crowded zoo.  We don’t get to see “Aunt Sammy” often enough, because they live in Dallas…so when she called, we jumped at the chance to hang out!

.

We ate a picnic lunch before entering.  I tried to get a pic, but couldn’t get a great one…they were ready to see the animals.  The crew…Jackson holding Elijah, Lilly Katherine, Campbell, Chandler, AnnaLeigh

Sweet Jackson!  Isn’t he precious?!?!

It melted my heart to see how LK and Campbell were instant best friends.  They held hands, skipped, girl-talked.  They had so much fun together, which shouldn’t surprise me.  LK is me, and Campbell is Sam.  Sweet girls!

AnnaLeigh and Chandler shared a similar bond…over Cheetos! :)

Sammy and I share that same love for Cheetos.  Growing up, I spent a LOT of time at Samantha’s house.  They had THE BEST candy cabinet ever, and they ALWAYS had Cheetos…my favorite!  I vividly remember walking in their door and heading straight for their food cabinet every.single.time I went over there.  I obviously have no manners, and love to eat.

.

These are the beautiful women of the family, Amanda, my “Other Mother” and Samantha!  I love them all, and have been so blessed to have them in my life for so long! Samantha has been by my side for many ups and downs, she cracks me up, lifts me up, and is always there for me no matter what. She is an incredible mother, a wonderful daughter and sister, a beautiful woman of God, and a very special friend!  (And we opted for sunglasses to hide our new 30’s wrinkly eyes!) :) We have another BFF that completes the trio, Kimberly.  The Lord has blessed my life for over 20 years with my relationships with Samantha and Kimberly.  I don’t know what my life would be like without them, but I pray all the time that my babies (especially my girls) will have friends as precious as these women have been in my life.

.

I’m thankful these 2 little maniacs have each other, too.

Please tell me how you can look at this creature and not know there is a God.  This is amazing.  Little contortionist giraffe.  God truly has a sense of humor.

“Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.

Praise the LORD!”

-Psalm 150:6
