Baylor WINS the Alamo Bowl

FIGHT!

Tonight we had such a fun family time watching the Baylor Bears WIN the Alamo Bowl!  I think Preston was more excited about the coming of this game and RGIII than Christmas and Santa Clause!  This was a big deal to my little man!  He got football pads for Christmas, and he has worn them EVERY.SINGLE.DAY since then…all day long.  Needless to say, he was pumped about the bowl game.

Honestly, during the 4 years I was at Baylor, I attended some football games, but not a ton of them and usually by half time the stands were clearing out.  It’s just not as fun to watch a game when you’re getting beat 63-0.  To say Baylor football has come a long way is a MAJOR understatement.  I learned a few weeks ago that Baylor won a TOTAL of 9 games the entire 4 years I was there.  That’s what makes this season and RGIII so special!

Here’s our little family celebration of the Baylor Bowl Game!  We had to have ball game food…chili dogs!  Yum-my!

And did you know that if you put your veggies on a field goal toothpick, they taste better?

We finished our lovely Baylor Bowl Game dinner with “football” brownies.

(Here’s a tip I just learned from my Baylor friend, Naomi…Cut your brownies with a PLASTIC disposable knife and they cut so much better.  The edges are cleaner and there will be less crumbling.  Who knew?!?)

Football brownies are so very difficult to make!  Cut your brownies into diamond shapes and pipe some laces on them.  Your 7-year old football-crazed little boy will love them!

So will your chocolate-crazed little girls. :)

After dinner, we watched the game.  It started at 8 pm, so by a little after 9 we knew the maniacs needed to get in bed.  The girls had seen enough football, and Preston was so tired from hunting that he didn’t argue.

Preston, wearing his new pads and my old Baylor Line jersey, gave me his Heisman pose.

RGIII!!!

Poor Sam.  He is so loved!  So very, very loved!

Maniacs…

SIC ‘EM BEARS!
