We are slowly but surely recovering from the scatterbrained mistake<\/a> I made yesterday. I’ve gotten used to the constant hum of box fans.\u00a0 I’m working on loads and loads of laundry.\u00a0 Every towel in our house was drenched.\u00a0 All the loads of laundry separated to be washed on the laundry room floor were drenched.\u00a0 All the clothes stored in paper bags in my laundry room closet were drenched.\u00a0 LOTS OF LAUNDRY TO DO! I just went to Target (my most favorite place on earth) to get more detergent!

We are going to have to replace the wood floors.\u00a0 One plank has already buckled and broken.\u00a0 It’s not that pretty.\u00a0 But nothing too major.\u00a0 I am just so thankful I didn’t leave the house while the sink was running.

I had planned on making these cookies yesterday, but there was no baking in the house yesterday!\u00a0 Only cleaning, drying, moping, vacuuming, drying, cleaning, you get the picture. <\/span><\/h3>\n

I decided I probably wouldn’t have time to make cookies today either, but I wanted to post the recipe for all of you who might have time for some afternoon baking.

Cake Mix Cookies <\/span><\/h2>\n

So so so yummy! This is such an easy recipe.\u00a0 My roommate in college, Samantha, used to make these all the time.\u00a0 We made batches and batches of these things.\u00a0 We convinced ourselves that they weren’t that bad for us, since there was no vegetable oil.\u00a0 We would even make a low fat version with Fat Free Cool Whip and eliminate the Chocolate Chips.\u00a0 You have to try these light tasting, scrumptious goodies.

Ingredients:<\/span><\/h3>\n

1 Box Yellow Cake Mix<\/span><\/h3>\n

1 Tub Cool Whip<\/span><\/h3>\n

1 Egg<\/span><\/h3>\n

1 Cup Chocolate Chips<\/span><\/h3>\n

Powdered Sugar<\/span><\/h3>\n

Directions:<\/span><\/h3>\n

Combine Cake Mix, Cool Whip, Egg.\u00a0 Fold in Chocolate Chips. <\/span><\/h3>\n

Now use your hand as a spatula and lick the Cool Whip tub, since you were told that you COULD NOT stick your fingers in it while we were dumping it out.
\n<\/span><\/h3>\n

Drop a tablespoon of mixture into a bowl of powdered sugar. <\/span><\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/span><\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/span><\/h3>\n

Roll until completely covered. <\/span><\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/span><\/h3>\n

Give a little space on the baking sheet, because they do spread.\u00a0 It’s ok if there’s powdered sugar on the pan.\u00a0 It doesn’t burn while cooking.
\n<\/span><\/h3>\n

Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 10-12 minutes.\u00a0 Don’t let them brown…gooey is better! <\/span><\/h3>\n

They’re soft, chewy, moist, and just plain GOOD!\u00a0 It’s best to let them sit on the cookie sheet for a few minutes before removing.\u00a0 They fall apart easily if they’re really hot.\u00a0 That doesn’t mean you can’t steal one for yourself.\u00a0 Who cares if your cookie is ugly? :)
