Brand Caramel Pie"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As soon as the maniacs are asleep on Halloween, I rummage through their candy bags, <em>&#8220;checking to make sure everything&#8217;s safe to eat&#8221;<\/em> and possibly stealing a few items to hide for myself.\u00a0 Among the little treasures, I like to look for those little individually wrapped caramel cubes.\u00a0 I love them!<\/p>\n<p>I have always loved them!<\/p>\n<p>I LOVE CARAMEL!<\/p>\n<p>My cousin Amy Lauren introduced me to this caramel pie one Thanksgiving that is sinfully delicious, as if you melted hundreds of those little cubes&#8230;without the torture of unwrapping each one of them.\u00a0 It&#8217;s SO STINKIN&#8217; EASY!<\/p>\n<p>This is another 3 ingredient recipe.\u00a0 I&#8217;m sure you&#8217;re wondering if I ever cook real food anymore.\u00a0 I do, but I&#8217;m simplifying at this point&#8230;can you blame me? :)\u00a0 I actually cooked <a href=\"http:\/\/www.food.com\/recipe\/virginias-easy-lasagne-229072\" target=\"_blank\">this lasagna<\/a> for dinner, which was a recommendation from a friend and it was delicious!\u00a0 Thanks Amanda!\u00a0 It was even more delicious followed by a big fat piece of CARAMEL PIE!!!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a graham cracker crust from Reduced Fat Graham Crackers.)<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Remove the paper from the Eagle Brand cans.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a need to add water!\u00a0 Set your timer, so you don&#8217;t forget that these cans are boiling on your stove top.\u00a0 You will need to monitor it and add water a few times over the 3 hour period.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Carefully remove the cans.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/therealhousewife.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/Caramel-Pie-19.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3666\" title=\"Caramel caramel is HOT and it does have a tendency to ooze HOT liquidy caramel once you open the can.\u00a0 I recommend using a can opener that removes the whole top and lip of the can, not the old school kind that punctures the top.\u00a0 The can opener that punctures the top does produce more oozing.\u00a0 Are you awed and impressed by my word choices?\u00a0 :)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">You can see the oozing goodness below.\u00a0 Look at that beautiful, golden brown, caramel color!\u00a0 Can you believe how easy that was?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 575px) 100vw, 575px\" \/><\/a>Now just pour it into your pie shell and smooth.\u00a0 This pie was a little smoother before my spoon accidentally dove into the middle of the pie.\u00a0 I don&#8217;t know <em>how <\/em>that happened!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a stage.\u00a0 Use your imagination.\u00a0 I used about 1\/2 a container of Cool Whip.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Cover the pie and place it back in the freezer until you&#8217;re ready to serve it.\u00a0 It is much better when it&#8217;s served cold.\u00a0 Oh it is just so smooth and caramel-y and good!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">How could this taste bad?<\/p>\n<p Graham Cracker Crust<\/li>\n<li>2 Cans Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk<\/li>\n<li>Cool Whip (about 1\/2 tub)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Remove paper from 2 cans of Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk.\u00a0 Place the cans in a pot large enough to completely submerge the cans in water.\u00a0 Bring to a low boil.\u00a0 Cover and reduce heat and continue a low boil for 3 hours.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>IMPORTANT NOTE:\u00a0 Do not leave cans unattended.\u00a0 Monitor them and add water as needed to keep cans submerged.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Carefully remove cans from water, place them on a towel, and allow them to cool 10 minutes.\u00a0 Open carefully with a can opener.\u00a0 (The can openers that removes the lid and lip work the best.)\u00a0 Pour the caramel in the pie crust.\u00a0 Freeze for at least 3 hours.\u00a0 Remove from freezer and spread Cool Whip on pie (about 1\/2 a tub).\u00a0\u00a0 Cover and place it back in the freezer until ready to serve.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">I drizzled it with a little caramel ice cream topping.\u00a0 Add a few chocolate chips, nuts, nothing, or
