July 4th weekend was PACKED with activities!\u00a0 My little brother came in town, and it was SO much fun!<\/p>\n

We had a huge fireworks show at church that was truly spectacular, and I thank everyone who put it together.\u00a0 It was a BLAST (haha)!<\/p>\n

We spent the evening with friends, celebrating our great nation!\u00a0 This is my sweet friend, Dominique that I’m always talking about…like here<\/a> and here<\/a> and here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>This is her precious baby girl, Caroline, who is just 3 months older than AnnaLeigh.\u00a0 They LOVE each other.\u00a0 Reminds me of the movie Twins.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Pinky watched the fireworks from the security of Mimi’s arms.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>LK watched with Nana…\"\"<\/a>Then she moved onto the ground with her new BFF, Emily (aka, “The Big Girl) and she literally described every.single.firework with great dramatic interpretation.\u00a0 She was cracking us up, and talking “the big girl’s” ears off!\"\"<\/a>Preston sat with the Jordan and Tunell boys.\u00a0 The boys were all yelling out what color they thought the firework would be.\u00a0 Oh, boys are so different!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Brad and I sat with our sweet friends, Amy and Caleb and their precious boys.\u00a0 This picture looks kind of crazy…sorry, Amy. :)<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Saturday the ragamuffins made a cake with me.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Then we hung out with Uncle Taylor that night at my parent’s house.\u00a0 I have no pictures from that evening.\u00a0 I was feeling like poop.\u00a0 :(<\/p>\n

Monday we all went to the lake together…thanks to the Rosemans!\u00a0 It was HOT but so much fun!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>AnnaLeigh wasn’t too sure about the boat.\u00a0 She endured it for a minute…<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>But then she wanted Uncle Taylor to rescue her…and, of course, he did. :)<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Preston had his first experience out on the water.\u00a0 He was not at all sure about tubing, but we assured him he wouldn’t die.\u00a0 He let his 2 year old cousin, Truett, show him how it was done…then he tried it with daddy!\u00a0 I was proud of him for trying something new!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Lilly Katherine LOVED playing in the lake.\u00a0 She just wanted to play in the mud and the shallow water all day.\u00a0 That didn’t surprise me at all.\u00a0 She’s my little mud-puppy!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Preston’s most favorite part was fishing!\u00a0 I love this picture because it’s of the most special men in my life, my baby, my hubby, my brother, and my diddy.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>And then there’s this cute little thing…I could just squeeze her forever!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Monday night we watched fireworks with the wonderful Roseman family!\u00a0 Thank y’all!\u00a0 I wish I had pictures, but for some reason I don’t have a single one.\u00a0 I know I carried my camera around all night. ?!?<\/p>\n

This week we had dinner with some life-long friends, and I’ll post those pics tomorrow with a recipe.\u00a0 Until then, Claire’s birthday party concludes this very long post!<\/p>\n

Friday we celebrated Claire’s 14th birthday!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Claire is my sweet niece, and my big girl’s hero!\u00a0 Lilly Katherine loves Claire, and they’re so much alike.\u00a0 They even look alike.\u00a0 Look at this comparison that my sister-in-law, Kara, found of the two girls.<\/p>\n

I just hope that my sweet big girl will be the kind of woman that her beautiful 14-year old role model has become!\u00a0 Claire, you are a precious example to my girls of a Godly woman, and I love you!\u00a0 Happy Birthday!!!<\/p>\n

At Claire’s birthday party, the kids swam in the lake, the boys fished, and then Preston and my nephew, Garrett, found this little injured hummingbird.\u00a0 He was flying around the ceiling fans and got a little too close to one of them, and he ended up with a little cut on his throat.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>It stayed on the ground for a long time as we all admired it.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>After about 30 minutes, it finally regained the strength to fly.\u00a0 It ran into a trashcan, then a tree, but finally made it in the air.\u00a0 It was a rough day for the little guy.<\/p>\n

.<\/p>\n

Whew!\u00a0 That’s all for now!\u00a0 I promised myself I would be in bed by midnight, and it’s 11:58!\u00a0 That gives me 2 minutes to get ready for bed.<\/p>\n
