A few little tips:<\/p>\n Day 1: Palm branch.\u00a0 I just cut up an old fake ivy leaf that I had around the house.\u00a0 Not sure why I have fake ivy as a decoration, but if you do, cut it up for your palm branch.<\/p>\n Day 2: Perfume.\u00a0 If you have a small bottle of perfume, use it.\u00a0 If you don’t, steal one from a friend, like I did. (Thanks, Dominique).\u00a0 Or, you can just put some perfume on a cotton ball.<\/p>\n Day 3: Towel.\u00a0 Use a small baby’s washcloth, or I just cut a piece from an old towel.<\/p>\n Day 4: Little piece of bread.\u00a0 Some people use a piece of chex cereal, but we always have bread.\u00a0 Once you put it in the egg, it gets hard quickly…it doesn’t mold.<\/p>\n Day 5: 3 dimes because Judas was paid 30 silver coins when he betrayed Jesus.\u00a0 Sword can be made with cardboard and foil, or you can borrow one from an action figure.<\/p>\n Day 6: Crown of thorns.\u00a0 I used a rose branch and twisted it into a circle.\u00a0 (Again, thanks Dominique)<\/p>\n Day 7: Dice (crazy, but I didn’t have any) and for the clothes I just cut a little robe out of a piece of material.<\/p>\n Day 8: Cross and nails.\u00a0 I just used 2 little sticks and bound them together with thread\/floss.<\/p>\n Day 9: Sponge with a little vinegar.\u00a0 I soaked it in vinegar and then squeezed it out.\u00a0 The smell remains, but your sponge doesn’t stay wet.<\/p>\n Day 10: Spices.\u00a0 Use whatever whole spices you have.\u00a0 Cloves, Cinnamon sticks…<\/p>\n Day 11: Rock.\u00a0 Any small pebble will work…even one from a fake flower arrangement.\u00a0 This has taught me I need some decorations that aren’t fake greenery!<\/p>\n .<\/p>\n How to make Resurrection Eggs for your family.\u00a0 Here is a printable PDFs of the eggs, symbols, story, verses, and prophesies they fulfilled.<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a>We started opening eggs 12 days before Easter, and we will open one every night.\u00a0 On Easter we will open the empty egg, to symbolize that Jesus has risen, and the tomb was empty.\u00a0 Preston reads the verses for us and then we talk about what each one means.\u00a0 I have heard other people that open all of them and let their kids try to put them in order.\u00a0 Just use this as a tool…there are no rules.\u00a0 Once you make it, you can use it year after year.<\/p>\n
