I mentioned a few days ago that Lilly Katherine licks everything.\u00a0 This child of mine has always put things in her mouth, and at 4 1\/2, she still does.\u00a0 It’s not so much little toys or “choking hazards” that she likes to put in her mouth.\u00a0 It’s more like whatever she’s holding or playing with will eventually end up in her mouth.\u00a0 Hairbrushes, clips, her thumb, pillows, clothes, necklaces, sandal straps, baby doll arms and legs,…whatever.<\/p>\n

.<\/p>\n

Her mouth also seems to be the same height as a standard counter top…such as the counter at Chick-fil-A and our pediatrician’s office.\u00a0\u00a0 LK simply can’t just stand there and wait for me to pay, she must run her mouth from one end of the counter to the other…making sure to ingest as many kooties as possible.<\/p>\n

Well, a few months ago we got a dog.<\/p>\n

.<\/p>\n

He had to go to the vet.<\/p>\n

.<\/p>\n

All three kids, the dog, and I went to the vet.<\/p>\n

.<\/p>\n

Smart!<\/p>\n

.<\/p>\n

Our Veterinarian has this large metal table that he puts all the animals on to examine them.\u00a0 I’m assuming this is pretty standard.\u00a0 This large metal table has a lip around the edge.\u00a0 You know what that lip is for?\u00a0 That lip is to catch urine when they put dogs to sleep.\u00a0 That lip catches dog poop when a nervous dog does his business after they have to take it’s temperature.\u00a0 That lip catches hair, dirt, WORMS, blood, and whatever else comes from dogs, cats, and other animals to prevent the bodily fluids from landing on the floor.<\/p>\n

You know what else that lip is for?<\/p>\n

.<\/p>\n

It is the height of Lilly Katherine’s mouth.\u00a0 It’s cold.\u00a0 Lilly Katherine thought that lip was for her little mouth.<\/p>\n

.<\/p>\n

I turned around to see her whole little body swaying from side to side…then I realized her mouth was open and she was licking every surface she could reach as she swayed.<\/p>\n

SICK!<\/p>\n

.<\/p>\n

As if people germs aren’t gross enough, now we’re licking a table that catches feces and urine from animals.\u00a0 Yes, I might have freaked out a little when I saw her doing it.\u00a0 Yes, she stopped immediately.\u00a0 Yes, she licked the next counter top she encountered.\u00a0 Yes, she’s somehow my healthiest child.<\/p>\n

Still…that’s SICK!<\/p>\n

On on completely different note…This has nothing to do with germs…Just has to do with my crazy Lilly Katherine…<\/p>\n

Yesterday morning I was bathing the girls.\u00a0 I was in a hurry, of course!\u00a0 I was choosing their outfits while they bathed together.\u00a0 I walked back in the bathroom to find LK splashing around with all this white stuff in the tub.\u00a0 She was singing, “shake it up. Mix it up.”<\/p>\n

THAT CHILD had taken half a roll of toilet paper and shredded it all in the tub.\u00a0 It looked like egg drop soup in our bathtub.\u00a0 When I asked her what in the WORLD she was thinking when she did that, her response was, “Well, the toilet paper was sitting right by the tub, so I just put it in here.\u00a0 Look!”<\/p>\n

Yes, dear!\u00a0 I see it!<\/p>\n

.<\/p>\n

Well, I couldn’t drain it.\u00a0 It would have stopped the tub up, so I used my wire mesh strainer in an attempt to fish little jiblets (is that a real word?) of soggy toilet paper from a tub full of toys and 2 children.\u00a0 They thought it was funny.\u00a0 I did not!<\/p>\n

I got as much as I could out.\u00a0 However, I couldn’t get it all.\u00a0 I realized when I got them out of the tub that it left little “spit balls” all in their hair. This pic isn’t great, but it’s all I could get in my time crunch.<\/p>\n

Good times!<\/p>\n

Oh well, we survived and it really is funny when I think about it.\u00a0 Though, not so much at the time.<\/p>\n
